Hello Citizen of India,
Is it the recession or the hunger for money and fame that have created a pressure on B-schools to an extent that they have started cheating students, the future of India?
The students of IBS Hyderabad claim that they were promised from the top management of IBS Hyderabad that they will get PGDBM degree after the completion of two year course from IBS Hyderabad. But now they say that those were mere wording on papers from the management team, far from reality. Number of students has also raised questions regarding the credibility of AICTE which IBS Hyderabad clearly boasts of in their current website. According to them, the top officials from AICTE team were definitely bribed or fooled. According to few students who are well versed with the rules and regulations of AICTE, a class should not consist of more than 60 students in order to get an approval from AICTE, but the scenario is something else. One would be shocked to face the reality. Some students also say that "We have our identity as 07BS followed by enrollment number, but the college has manipulated our last two year identification and changed it to 07PMP some numbers. This is not done”.
Now we all are scattered, we need the support of media and state and central government of India to take some serious action against IBS, or they will continue to expoit the rising future of India. Moreover, the batch of 07-09 are currently busy with their jobs in respective companies, so it is not possible for them to unite and save the future of the next batch or more important demand the degree from the college as promised by them.
It’s a sincere request to each blogger/media personnel and everyone who aspires to be an MBA or who think that these management teams who are graduating from B-schools have the capability to turn around the future of India to support this noble cause. We request everyone to stand front and fight against these scamsters. Please support the cause or else tomorrow you or your child might be a victim of such Institutes.

its a valient effort that u r puttin in.. good work i appriciate it.. i havnt seen my degree as of now but yes i do have the same issues regarding my mark sheets. But what can be done. the damage has already been done.

guys... i strongly oppose this move.... please be more proactive... its our college after all n we are all alumni of IBS (If u ask me how can u prove it, i'd present my bonafide certificate, simple!) just tell me one thing, i've even got my graduation certificate, how many people have really wondered to see which college i belong to... maybe in campus placement, yes... after that its all efforts people... stop being so reactive n think before you can call IBS a fraud... yes they might be very good in making money... n they are in their own rights to do so... i guess they've done well to place so many students even during recession... the earlier we stop glamourising this issue the better it is for our future... it is better to be know just as a pass out from ICFAI University Dehrudun than from a FRAUD INSTITUTE... right???? reconsider
Dear Sandesh...Seems u got a good placemnt wid a GREAT BIG BUMPER package of Rs. 2 lakhs CTC p.a. Congratz !!! I do understand your concern but learn to respect your's dad hard-earned income. He never paid for your FRAUD MBA degree though I agree you got a decent placement. Think about those who have been trying hard to secure one job since last October. You call it victory-- I say YES WE GONNA GO 4 IT.
and for your information, let me tell you that two of our batchmates have been kicked out by their respective companies just because they couldn't present their credetials for having done PGDBM / MBA from ICFAI Hyd.
and what about the situation 5 years from now. We and others from IBS goa/mangalore stand the same having a package of Rs.4 lakhs CTC p.a.

The wors part is an MBA and a distance learning MBA has no difference. We do not want a discrimination wit h other IBS brother and their sisters. The person who has taken this initiative need no support from cowards Sorry for harsh words but if you dont take an action thinking you loose a job or somthing please never ever tell that you are an MBA . It seem you were student of T KOTI REddy G V RAo DPS or DSP and even KV RAO. Even if you need a better reason now trust me you are a mere MBA and you got the right degree I have few others for you in that case go to google search look for 5500 degrees abroad you will get all that shit over there but dont spread your nuisance here

Lets make an effort that we show this fraudsters what Indian Youth can do without fear. To motivate you Kismat ke aage kismat se jyada na kisi ko mila hai na kisi ko milega thats why people got there placements cancelled in between. But if you dont fight now than please buy 2 by 2 bangles and give the same shiksha to your children. Darna nahi jab saath ho hum bas kadam do kadam saath dena Baki khel kisat and kudrat pe chordena.

You are absolutely right rajat. What can IBS mgmt do with 2000 students. This fraudsters wont kill each of us but if we dont take an action today better dont talk as if you are educated ones. The ones who are not with this please dont discourage the initiative of the guy. If you dont want dont participate let others do what they want. Hats-off sir to your initiative. I am with this and ready to be of help in whatever way i can.An appeal please log on to the site of media and file a complain that 800 students get the same subjects in first two semesters meaning the university cease to be AICTE university.Hurt these scamsters by logging multiple complaints. Someone will definitely come to our rescue. Looking for HRD ministry to comment on it. Kapil SIBBAL has been given the responsibility and lets see if we have selected the right candidate or not.

hi guys, well it is a very hot issue and someone has asked me to write my comments. I'd say first we need to understand the pros and cons of what can be happened due to this blog.
Can we sue ICFAI and it's management?? well.. NO (no justification required, everyone knows this).
Will the brand of ICFAI get hampered?? Probably yes but it won't affect the intakes of the college. People have money to pay and they come only when it's the last option for them.
Now, people who are passouts of 2009 batch will get hampered.. how?? This blog is also readable to the HR of the companies and at this time when people like me who are visiting companies for jobs will be at disadvantage.
1st paid 10 lac, no placements. Now if even the degree is not considered, we may not have any stand in the market.
My message is for two types of 2009 batch icfaians..
Those who placed and joined somewhere, please enjoy the salaries and thank God. Be calm please..!!!
Those who are looking for jobs or waiting for joining, please understand the criticality of the matter. By doing this we will not get our money back from IBS. And with a satanic brand, the chances of getting opportunities will be diminished.

well friends i guess the issue is very serious but as rightly said we have to act in a little more matured manner. hampering the existing brand of IBS will make no sense. as rajat rightly pointed out that its ur dad's hard earned 10 lacs that you have inveted in IBS. friends just apply some common sense, if we hamper the image of IBS or drag it to the court do we get that 10 lakhs back. infact we will be just nailing whatever we have got in a coffin. the only issue is a differentiation that we should get from other institute and correspondence courses of ICFAI. well what we can do is that we can ask the college to give us bonafide certificates that we are students of IBS, Hyderabad.
If we really do care about our investment than we got to take care of this issue carefully. as rightly pointed out by a friend that 2 students got kicked out because of non availability of certificates tomorrow all of us may get kicked out from companies who place us because of the fact that we are from IBS, HYB.
i am not saying all this because i am having a package of 4 lacs or 5 lacs. i am just saying this because i really care about the investment made by us. lets not get emotional.
This is going to be harsh guys…and I expect an even better answer from u guys… but I know u guys will delete this comment and then write your comments…hahaha...I got a job outside college after burning my ass under the scorching heat of Mumbai...still I have no hard feelings against my college...cause I am least bothered….. I have the bonafide certificate and each and every proof that I have studied in IBS Hyderabad and I am dead sure there wouldn’t be any such problem in the future also...now as because its recession time you guys are saying all these…..”2008 hota toh koi moor ke bhai nahi dekhta” ....dude after working 12 hours a day who would find the time to do all these…..u guys have lot of time I guess.....there will be many who will support this in the initial stage but would realize later it’s of no use ....chuck it bro...Work hard for the next 2 years u will get a very good job....if u spoil your college name like this in the long run even if you produce your ideal certificate, you wont be able to remove the stain ..that you guys are putting in (i.e. IBS is a fraud)....and for chrissake don’t think of others...If u wanna do that open up a NGO rather than spoiling your own college's name…try helping people in a meaningful way…and mind it its not always being coward but being pragmatic I hope u get the message clearly….and the difference which I am sure you wouldn’t as you need to grow up for that….Wake up and be mature and practical enough to handle these things in a better way....good luck...:)..

I understand what all of you are trying to say.. your views are not wrong.. i respect them... but, you call me a coward or whatever, i stick to my opinion that the method is not the right one... I too respect the money that we have invested into this... (n its my own, i've taken a loan which i have to repay!! so it'll naturally pinch me much harder).. mujheI would like to congratulate Sandesh for showing us the path to the wider picture. Shall we call him Mahatma Gandhi who followed the path of non-violence but believed on the power of voice or shall we call him Bhagat Singh who believed on his physical strength and preached never say die attitude? Or shall we better call him someone who fears not from anyone but someone does not have faith in himself to fight for any cause or come upfront to support for a noble cause. Once a great politician, right now I could not recall the name said that “we the children are the future of tomorrow”. But shall we call ourself the future, when the present system is leading us to the well where darkness prevails. And Man you are talking of wider picture! Hats off!
Moreover the support comes from instinct and not by force, so at least don’t spread negative word of mouth publicity. We have strength of 500 against an odd of 10 or 15 like you, but we don’t take your words as an offence and wants to fight with you or say any thing wrong to you but would rather fold our hands and say Namaste.
Man as a true citizen of India, I would whole-heartedly support for this noble cause which has the potential to save the bright future generation. And I would once again request you to watch some movies like Rang De Basanti, Lagaan, and similar stuff, where one started the journey bare handed for the welfare of the people and in few days was followed by mass. And even watching all these, you cannot understand anything there is only word that I would repeat for you is NAMASTE!
Moreover, I would request you all to use your networking and try to contact some of the media channel to bring it in front of the eyes of masses, so that we can get their support as well...

n regarding people who say that the college frm where u did ur education doesnt matter... trust me!! i can bet their grads isnt frm a reputed colg!! In my company i knw d degrees of all my bosses, subordinates n juniors.. who is IIT IIM alumni,, who is frm private colg.. n trust me... it really makes an image of u in d office which is hard to break.. if u dnt trust me.. check d site of any financial company... few days bak i ws checking d site of jp morgan n dey had given d degrees of all associates who even had more dan 4-5 years of experience.. so better dnt give dis shit dat ur college doesnt matter in d corporate sector..
So what i suggest is.. we shud definitely fight against dis cause.. cuz its better to fight rather than retain dis distant learning degree after spending such huge amount of money...
One can look at the jessica lal case fr example.. d accused ws rich so court released him.. but it ws thru media and public emotions only that jessica lal gt justice..
similarly.. icfai is rich.. we just cannot win dis case frm dem in d courts unless n until we inform d media.. n enlighten d public..or else.. ICFAI .. who was able to throw CFA institute out of dis country.. who ws able to get AICTE recommendation.. who is running universities in weak states like tripura n dehradun.. will definitely win dis case..

We must demand what we were told and promised.

We can see that our campus was AICTE recognised and AICTE team visited when we were in 2nd sem so we must be eligible for the AICTe approved diplomas.
Guys for any clarifications you can buzz the college authorities on these nos.
When i talked to DS RAo.
he said he is STILL working for PGDM thing and is not aware of the chaos..on the PGDM thing..
he said as of now we have issues bonafide for IBS hyd.
But that PGDM is pending. So we can force him to push ICFAI higher managemnt to award use PGDM diploma asap

hii guys .I think the dismay among you all is rightfull and the steps you all are taking is worth it. Guys we all know HYD students have some extra in them reason u got IBS HYD and unfortunately have to pay extra fee.Your skills are inmitable and you all no need to be intimated by anything.I think our step should more on the students who are going to take addmission we should aware them of the fact. Fulfilling our loss is uncertain and loss is not always in monetory tems, lets teach IBS that education is not a Bussiness by awaring the comming stuendts about the obscurity practised by them ..

i agree with arunava and shubhadeep..if smthn goes wrong we all will be in gr8 trouble..we are trying to recover from the recession hit scenario..and why are u ppl trying to put us all in this new scene. even companies which are recruiting us knows this ..and every year they come to our college, when they do not have pronlem why are yu all making this diffcult.Please dont do something which can ruin our career in future.
hey guys.. I have been following this blog and reading its comments from the past few days. Now, Tamil Nadu High Court has also commented about the illegal ICFAI degree. It's getting really life-threatening. These kind of accusations (from court or students like us) will belittle the value of degree.
If the ICFAI Degree is discarded from the market, we won't have any stand because most of us are still looking for options and have not proved ourselves there.
Our problem is that we don't have anything to prove that we are passouts of IBS Hyderabad. We have degree, which is same as awarded to all the centers.
Let's be realistic and ask for something that can be given by the institute. We can ask for something like provisional certificate with authentic seal, which can help us to get acknowledged by the companies. By having it, we will have something to prove that we are from IBS Hyd.
Note: Calling the institute fraud will neither help us to get placed nor return our invested money.
and one more thing plz dnt give lectures about our DAD's money and all...we dnt need the lectures..and whether u all like it and want to accept it or not we need the jobs(those who have got them and those who have not) to pay back to our parents only. Please try to sound mature as this is high time to act foolish and become UNION ke NETA...we spent our money ...they didnt approach us..we gave the exams and we knew that we will be paying 10 lacs..we got the degree and our seniors also got the same degree (and we could have cnfirmed b4 joing) ...so do not exaggerate things to make evrythn more difficult.

that calling them fraud will add to public outcry, We will just be part of trash, Al those who are in so called good high paying jobs will also loose them.
Its easy to say all this shit when you are in a stable job.
Think about those who planning to change jobs, or worse who still are without job.
Its better we unite and tell others that IBS Hyd is among the top rated colleges in India, prove that we are as good as its shown in rankings.
Yes we can demand a proof of our studies in Hyd campus.Thats our right but going against them in this slowdown can cost us heavily in long term.
2 days back few of my frnds were circualting the link regardind MADRAS HIGH COURT decision...but as always the "little knowledge is more dangerous than no knowledge" ...that decision has repercussion only on the INC ( ICFAI National college ) students that too those in the institutes of state of Tamil Nadu. This has happened because the INC colleges of TN have not revised their certificate of UGC believing a statement once issued Dr Manmohan Singh that UGC and AICTE would be removed and one organization would be established
Relax guys our degree are secure ..the money and hardwork* you have put in have not gone waste..
So it would be better if u stop undermining the college which gave you degree(we joined ICFAI coz it was the only option and not the option..Accept the fact)..stop blaming urself in return..coz when u blame ICFAI ..u are blaming urself in public. RESPECT atllleaast URSELF.

I dont know if this is true...but i have heard that IFHE (ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education) which was deemed to be university, has been delisted and will not be awarding any more MBA degrees apart from the MBA class of 2010.... they also seem to be in pursuit of closing more IBS branches across India such as Bangalore... 10 lacs paid still as good as a graduate... Good Luck to all IBS passouts who are still job hunting...

I am a student of 2011 batch....
I do not know what happened with the placements of 2009 batch or with the certification awarded. Currently IBS-Hyderabad is a constitunent of IFHE( Deemed University under UGC Act) and will be awarding MBA degrees to its students. Yes the student strength is high, there are a few issues here and there... but the students here are really trying to build a brand and make IBS a knowledge center... right from the club activities,academics, guest lectures and research ..things are improving.... on the whole the students are doing well.
I empathize with you all for what has happened, but this blog is hurting the brand image of IBS-Hyderabad and the prospects of our batch. Looking at the no. of visits to this blog has,it mustve surely come in the eyes of management of companies that may come to our college for placements. Recently HDFC had come for CR Profile with a package of Rs 6L , also JPMC had come for a scholarship program and has offered scholarship of Rs 1 Lakh to couple of students. Also DE shaw has offered PPO's to 4 students for RS 10L .Both these companies will be coming very soon for placements.
On behalf of batch 2011, I earnestly request you to support us in carrying the process forward. Please do it for us, your juniors( for whom you say you have made this blog), if not for our ALMA MATER. Also if possible try recommending us for the openings in your respective companies. Trust me we are GOOD, and if given a chance we can challenge the BEST.

Not just juniors but our batchmates who wish to change..Infact our unity and networking can only be our strength..
But there is no denying of the fact that promises given by college were un kept. We were never told abt the correspondence degree,or the pathetic support we got from placements..some of the guys r still struggling while other collges leart their lesson INS hyd didnt...
Other colleges did best to help grads..IBS was still trying to save money...
